Twin-socket pedestal charge point with a car plugged in

Commercial EV Charging for your premises

Commercial EV charging is now something staff and customers expect to find. New EV Chargers Tonbridge installs workplace charge points for offices, workshops, shops and landlords across Tonbridge, Maidstone and West Kent.

We start with your incoming supply and how the car park is used during the day, then recommend the number of chargers, their positions and whether they should be wall-mounted or on pedestals.

Why Choose Us

Commercial charging only works if the building can feed it. We measure what your supply can spare before recommending chargers, so you are not sold more charge points than the premises can run. You deal directly with the electrician who designs, installs and tests the system, and the work is certified under our NICEIC registration. When the chargers are live, we show whoever manages the site how to use the app and its settings.

What We Install for Businesses

Most workplaces suit 7kW single-phase or 22kW three-phase charge points, depending on the supply and how long vehicles stay parked. Several chargers can share one supply through load management, which divides the power between the cars plugged in instead of tripping the building. Many commercial chargers can be locked to staff, or opened to visitors, through their own app.

How We Can Help

If you are weighing up workplace charging, tell us how many vehicles park on site, for how long, and where your main electrical intake is.

A photo of the main switchgear and the car park helps. From there we can suggest a sensible first phase, with room to add more charge points later without starting again.

Planning Around Your Supply

Every charger added to a building increases the demand on its supply, and a car park full of cars charging at once can need more power than the premises was built for. That is why the design starts at the intake rather than at the parking bay.

Where the supply has spare capacity, chargers can be added straight away. Where it is tight, load management keeps the total within limits, and where a bigger supply is needed we explain how that is arranged with the network operator before you commit to anything.

Why Workplace Charging Matters

As more staff and customers switch to electric cars, charge points on site are becoming part of what makes a workplace easy to get to.

For fleets, charging vehicles on site overnight keeps them ready for the next day without trips to public chargers. Charge points installed and certified by a registered electrician also give you the paperwork your landlord, insurer or facilities team will ask for.
